• · All pets who board at Dubheads Boarding Kennel and Cattery are required by licensing laws to be fully vaccinated throughout the duration of their stay. This needs to be proven with a vaccination card dated and signed by a veterinary practice. This should be provided on drop off for every stay, vaccinations older than 12 months will not be accepted. Failure to provide sufficient proof of vaccination will result in the cancellation of the booking and a fee for loss of income. The fee will be determined by Dubheads but will be in line with the length of the pets stay. 

· For the health of your own dog as well as the rest of the guest at the kennels, Dubheads also requires an up to date Kennel Cough vaccination. This too should be within 12 months of the dogs stay.

· Dubheads ask that you provide your pets own food during their stay, this is to ensure continuity of their diet and to reduce any stress on the pets digestive system, this is especially important if your pet is on a specialist diet or prescription diet. We are able to provide food for your pet if you require us to do so but we are unable to supply specialist or prescription foods and there will be an additional fee for this. The fee will be determined by the pet feeding needs.

· If your pet is receiving any medical treatment, it is your responsibility to make us aware of this at the beginning of boarding. This includes the provision of medication or treatment and clear instructions for administering them. If your pet suffers from any medical conditions but they are not currently receiving treatment we ask that you make us aware of these too so we are able to monitor for any potential issues. 

· Should your pet have any mobility issues it is your responsibility as owner to notify us of these issues.

· During your pets stay if we feel there is sufficient reason for your pet to attend a veterinary practice we will do so, costs of this visit will be the owners responsibility unless the reason for the treatment is as a direct result of Dubheads fault during boarding. We ask that you provide us with your own vets contact details so that we can maintain continuity of care for your animals should the need arise. Wherever possible we will attend your own veterinary practice or consult and liaise with them for any treatment.

· Failure to provide sufficient notice of cancellation of a boarding appointment will result in full boarding fees being charged. Cancellations 72 hours or more from the start of the intended stay will not be charged. 

· Our minimum term for weekend bookings during peak periods is 4 days.  Peak periods are Scottish school holiday times, i.e. Easter, July and October

· Collections after 12pm on date of collection will be charged for that days boarding.  

· Early collections without prior discussions with the owners are liable for the remainder of the booked stay also. 

· Payment is by bank transfer or cash on the day of collection.  We reserve the right to charge an additional administration fee for late payment. 

· Failure to collect your pet on the appointed date will result in additional fees charged and if no notice is given for an extended stay, Dubheads will make every effort to contact the owners and alternative contacts but if no contact can be made 24 hours after the appointed collection date then Dubheads will have no other choice but to surrender the pets to the local authorities as strays.

· Dubheads does not socialise dogs from separate households unless specific permissions have been provided by both owners of the dogs.

· We will use photographs of pets during their stay for social media, should you wish to opt out of this please notify Dubheads prior to your pets stay

· Above all, we want your pets to have an enjoyable and comfortable stay with us at Dubheads. We ask that if your pet is particularly shy, nervous or have any behaviour issues that you make us aware of this. We will do our best to accommodate every pets needs. Should we feel however, that your pet is unsuited to boarding we reserve the right to refuse future boarding of your animals. This is for the health and safety of our staff, ourselves and the other pets in our care.
